20 YEARS OF MASTER
Since 2005, the Master in Pharmaceutical Marketing – MAMAF has represented a solid educational reality for over a decade, dedicated to recent graduates wishing to specialize in marketing within the pharmaceutical sector.
Over the years, MAMAF has developed a comprehensive educational model integrating technical training, transversal skills, and a practical, employability-focused approach.
Long-standing partnerships with leading companies in the sector and the involvement of expert lecturers from both academia and industry have ensured high-quality, up-to-date content aligned with current trends and innovations in the life sciences field.
With the evolving needs and increasing complexity in healthcare and science, today’s edition — “MAMAF 3.0 – Road to 2030” — stands out as a unique and forward-looking academic path. It is designed to train future managers in Pharma, Biotech and Healthcare sectors via a blended weekend format combining flexibility with in-depth learning.
Over time, the MAMAF Master’s programme has expanded into a comprehensive professional training course, offering solid foundations in marketing as well as advanced skills in Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Communication, and Medical Affairs, preparing students to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare system.
Master's results
Since 2005, the MAMAF Master’s programme has achieved the following results:
- 210 students trained
- 185 graduates employed in the healthcare sector, specifically:
- 105 cplaced in pharmaceutical companies
- 61 employed in companies operating in the nutraceutical, cosmetic, or biomedical sectors
- 19 hired by consulting firms specialised in pharma/healthcare

These results clearly demonstrate the Master’s effectiveness in preparing young talents to enter the most dynamic and competitive segments of the healthcare sector, ensuring diverse career opportunities aligned with the industry’s continuous evolution.
Educational objectives
The Master’s programme trains qualified professionals to analyze and evaluate processes related to market access, management, and marketing within the pharmaceutical sector, as well as healthcare and life science communication agencies and service organisations involved in planning and budgeting.
Students will develop cross-cutting skills applicable throughout the entire healthcare ecosystem.

Master’s Programme Contents
The Master’s programme has progressively expanded its educational offering to include new areas such as Market Access, Pharmaceutical Management, Communication, Digital Health, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. It places strong emphasis on the development of soft skills, career guidance, and personal coaching — essential elements for successfully tackling complex challenges and working effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
Road map Master 2025-2026
After the enrolment phase (by 8 January 2026), students will begin their training journey with the start of in-person classes on 22 February 2026. This will mark the beginning of an intensive learning period led by lecturers and industry professionals, which may conclude with a full-time, in-person workshop week focused on specific thematic areas of the programme, such as:
• Winning managerial strategies: Marketing and innovation in the life science sector
• Access & Value – From evidence to impact in the healthcare system
• HealthTalk: Techniques and tools for communicating science, value and innovation
• Leading change: Management and leadership in the life science sector
• Digital connections: Digitalisation and patient experience – the new frontiers of healthcare
From June 2026, students will begin their curricular internship (625 hours), a fundamental experience for applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the study period and for establishing a first concrete connection with companies in the sector.
The Master’s programme concludes in April 2027, culminating in the presentation and discussion of the final project work.. Thanks to the competences developed and the network built during the internship, graduates will be ready to enter the job market, with targeted professional placement opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry and consulting and academic organisations linked to it.
At the end of the Master’s programme, students will be assessed based on their group work carried out during the classroom activities, the evaluation of their internship, and the final project, which consists of writing a thesis related to their personal work project. This project will address topics covered during the Master and will be conducted in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, publishing agencies, or partner service organisations.
The final thesis will be presented either as a poster or an oral presentation, depending on the academic board’s decision. Progress evaluations and the final examination will not be graded numerically.
The final examination will consist of preparing a thesis on a topic agreed upon by the candidate, academic board, and company supervisor, reflecting the internship experience and Master’s themes..
Upon successful completion of all required activities and the final examination, participants will be awarded the Second Level University Master’s Diploma in “MAMAF 3.0 – Road to 2030. Master for Future Managers in the Pharma, Biotech and Healthcare Sectors.”
The training period cannot be suspended, and transfers to equivalent Master’s programmes at other universities are not permitted.
